STAFF

Mrs. Nickey
Founder/Baton Twirling Instructor
Mrs. Nickey is a former Douglass High School majorette and majorette captain. Her passion and love for the sport of baton twirling, stirred her enough to want to share her knowledge and skill of baton twirling with others. Mrs. Nickey began Touch of Class Twirlers in 1993. She started with only 6 girls and to date she has taught over 500 young ladies in Georgia. Mrs. Nickey's passion was not only to teach, but also get those young ladies to travel and experience different things in the world of baton twirling and not just limiting them to local parades and performances. Eventually, Coach Nickey added dance and flag corps to her group, which produced more opportunities to provide a great outlet and vessel for creativity for our girls and young ladies! Therefore, expanding TOC's look and competitiveness in those respective fields! Some of Mrs. Nickey's proudest accomplishments are seeing her students on the field at their individual high schools and colleges/universities twirling, dancing, or flag corps (color guard). Also the bond she shares once her students becomes adults. Mrs. Nickey's program is where children can have fun while building there confidence and their craft and develop long-lasting friendships and relationships!
Mrs. Nickey is supported by her loving husband and wonderful son!

Coach Chai
Dance / Baton Instructor
Chai graduated from Stephenson High School in 2019, where I was a proud member of the full auxiliary dance team and the only baton twirler, introducing fire batons to the program for the first time. My love for baton twirling began at the age of 7, and over the years it has grown into a true passion for performance, teaching, and mentorship.
With experience spanning baton twirling, pom, lyrical, jazz, and majorette styles, I specialize in not just technique, but also in helping young ladies build confidence and step out of their shells. I take pride in teaching new skills, fostering growth, and watching my students shine both on and off the stage. Dancing and twirling are more than just art forms to me—they are tools to inspire, empower, and create lasting confidence in the next generation.
