Q: What experience do the instructors have?

A: Our energetic and talented staff has over 25 years of experience.  They have been actively involved in numerous groups and have participated in high school marching bands, collegiate dance teams, dance competitions, solo twirling, and more. 

 

Q: How much are performances?

A:  Most parades and community events are free of charge. Half-time performances require a purchase of a ticket that we receive a discounted price. Touch of Class' recital fees are required and vary every other year.  Each performance is different, and details are always shared in the TOC monthly newsletter.

 

Q: Will she need a costume?

A:   Yes, Touch of Class is known for looking marvelous when they take center stage.  We have several different looks and we purchase a costumes that suits the occasion. Prices for competition costumes and other performances costumes vary throughout the year.

Q: How much are the classes?
A:   Classes are $7
0 per month, due the first practice of each month. TOC provides a $10 sibling discount. Registration fee of $35 for the 1st child ($20 for each additional child) and first month fees are due when registering.  TOC accepts cash, CashApp, money order, PayPal, and credit/debit card.  Monthly fees paid after the 5th of the month are considered late and will incur a $10 late fee and $5 each week thereafter.  If an account is more than 15 days past due, your child will not be allowed in classes until payment is made. No refunds will be given for any reasons or transferred.

 

Q: What is the youngest age my child can start?

A: Our Tiny Tots class begins at age three. The monthly fee for our Tiny Tots class is $45 per child, registration fee of $30 per child for Tiny Tots.    


Q: Does my child need experience to join Touch of Class? 

A: No, if they are willing to learn, we will teach them how to be the best!


Q: What materials/equipment are needed for class? 

 A: Baton Twirlers - Batons are $40 which can be purchase at the studio. Students may use studio batons for the first few lessons. Each girl must purchase her own baton.

Dancers - Each girl is required to wear a black leotard, tights and dance shoes to class each week.  You must purchase these items from the local dance-wear store. 

Flags Corps - Each girl is required to purchase a flag and flag pole for $35 at Touch of Class studio.

Q:What can I expect my daughter to learn in baton classes?
A:  
Your daughter will learn one, two, and three baton twirling, leadership skills, parade struts, solo twirling, dance twirling, team twirling, featured twirling, competition twirling, show twirling, parade routines, marching. Novelty equipment - hoop baton, knives baton, flag baton, lighted baton, streamers, fire baton. We also prepare young ladies for twirling at the Collegiate level and so much more!

Q: What can I expect my daughter to learn in dance class?
A:  
Ballet techniques are the basis for all dance movement. In addition to ballet, she will learn modern, jazz, lyrical, pom-pom, hip hop, struts and marching techniques.

Q; What can I expect my daughter to learn in Color Guard (Flag Corps)?
A:  
Your daughter will learn wrist rotations, drop spins, slams, butterflies, tosses, and more. We will also work on marching techniques and showmanship.
